see I'm a twin
And we were both born from a mother who is as beautiful as the blossoming of her name
My mother Rose
Even the flower that she was named after couldn't describe the beauty that she glows
because a rose has thorns
And my mother doesn't make wounds, prickle or hurt she just beautifies the word love and is way more than the world its self
My mom gave life to twin girls
The doctors rather her not have this birth because she could give birth to 2 girls who could live being sick on this earth or even her
She knew she would have us, no matter the difficulty because it was all worth it
Two new lives that would lover her forever in it
Given up on us she couldn't imagine
For the reason that she asked herself what was her life really worth if she excused her faith and her heart and ended the lives of 2 her baby girls
My mom made a decision
Either have her twins or terminate the pregnancy
While doctors stayed in her ears saying"conjoined twin can be born with disabilities or have a rare chance of living"
No matter her state or her babies after the pregnancy, two new lives was destined for her to be given
Especially when she sent prayers up to the Lord and as a result my father and her raise daughters strong enough to take on this world
And now I stand here at the age of twenty,
Realizing without here I would have never had the chance to stand up here and recite this poem
Thank you mommy
We both function well physically and mentally healthy
The lord blessed me with my own personal superhero
And she used her extraordinary powers to sore and as a result
Saved my life before I was even born
Two answer your 1st question
We are the exact same age
No time in-between us
There is no length of time, period in an event, action or place that could come in-between us
We were born conjoined at the stomach
Entered this world with our arms wrapped around each other and huggin
See my mother taught us love before I even knew what it was
Embracing each other
Knowing from right there and on this girl attached to my stomach will be the only person in this world that I will have forever in it
Besides the many times that we fight
Like her not having a license and me threatening her that it's time she learn to catch the bus
Despite all that my twin sister is and will be the only person that I will trust
We share similar scares that will everlastingly connect us
And my mom reminds us every time she is in the same room with us
See friends come and leave
Some earned the title best but after a while the left
Family suppose to stick together but some tend to leave when things get a little heavier
But my twin sister through it all will be the only one left standin
Even in our misunderstandings
I learn to appreciate her even when we have it out for each other
See the same blood runs through both of our bodies
So the bond that we have nobody else can copy
And if I ever get lost, she will be able to find me
Blood is thicker than water
Now I understand what that means
Because the same blood runs the same exact way but in two different sets of veins
And I am so thankful that I am able to live my life in this way
So before I leave this stage I will answer a few of your questions
So yes I feel the pain when she cries
But doesn't every body feel the pain and reads the mind of the people they love
And no we don't like the same guys if I did I would probably have nightmares at night
And don't look so upset when you u say " y'all look just alike"
Then u follow up with a question like "are you guys twins"
Please don't freak when we say "No we're cousins
